Rapid Support

Local authorities all over the UK have experienced a steady increase of children and young people going into care. The team aims to wrap around a young person and their family in the contexts of home, school and the community.

Our experienced practitioners work with families who have a child/ children on a statutory social work plan or in the process of a Children and Families assessment. Our Rapid Care service will step in when:

Intensive support is needed to prevent one or more child(ren) in the family from entering the care of Children and Families Service (CFS) when the home environment and caregiving are assessed by the social worker as safe for the child to remain, or

A child is returning to the family home after a period in the care of CFS and a planned, therapeutic plan is required.
